Bandar Judi Bola Electronic Paper Technology – Tomorrow’s Paper According to Judy Rodrigrues of Greenpeace International:
“Our aim is to generate a society-wide understanding of the need to cut wasteful paper use and to help both big and small consumers to take action to make real reductions.”
On June 09, 2008, about fifty European non-governmental, environmental organizations launched a project to address the excessive consumption of paper. They invited individuals and corporate paper users to make a pledge to reduce consumption of paper at the website they created for this purpose, shrinkpaper.org.
About 42 per cent of the lumber produced across the globe goes into pulping and paper production.
If we can eliminate the need for paper in the future, we can greatly reduce the rate of deforestation. Development of electronic paper technology, such as the electronic ink introduced by E Ink Corporation, will take us closer to a greener future. Let’s, in this article, have a look at the electronic paper technology and its progress. What Is Electronic Paper?Unlike LCD, LED, or CRT display system, electronic paper technology attempts to achieve the clarity, contrast, and ease of viewing of normal paper on an electronic display.
The technology behind electronic paper is thirty years old; it was developed at Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center). Nicholas K. Sheridon of Xerox PARC created a new display technology known as Gyricon (Greek for ‘rotating image’), which became the basis of the modern e-paper technology.
The ideal modern electronic paper should have high contrast like normal paper and low power consumption; it should be thin and light as well. The electronic paper display (EPD) is so light that it can be folded or curled, while still retaining the image. Also, the EPD should not lose the image even if power supply is not available. These concepts were used in the production of such products as Fabric PC from Fujitsu, which is a notebook computer utilizing electronic paper display; it is very lightweight and not easily damaged.Electronic Ink TechnologyAt the forefront of electronic ink display technology are two companies-E Ink Corporation of Cambridge, Massachusetts (recently acquired by Prime View International, Taiwan) and Xerox (through its subsidiary, Gyricon Media) of Palo Alto, California.
E Ink’s display technology is already in widespread use in such devices as Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, iRex iLiad, and many other e-book readers.
E Ink’s electronic ink uses a type of clear liquid plastic with millions of microcapsules, which are tiny (at almost the diameter of one of our hairs) spherical objects. The microcapsules contain white-colored and black-colored chips. The white chips are positively charged and black chips are negatively charged. This electronic ink is coated on to an ultra-thin plastic sheet containing a tiny printed circuit board. This circuit can selectively send positive and negative charges to the pasted e-ink, making the chips move, thus altering the display.Electronic Paper: The FutureBusinesswire recently reported that the electronic reading devices will have an increase in production from 1.1 million units in 2008 to 20 million units in 2012. The cumulative annual growth rate, according to iSuppli analyst Vinita Jakhanwal, is around 105 per cent.
The development of electronic paper technology quickened as the public became fond of the new e-book reading gadgets. The Oprah Winfrey Show endorsed Amazon Kindle, and Oprah called it ‘her favorite gadget’, making Kindle very popular among book readers. E Ink Corporation and Prime View International together support about 20 e-book device manufacturers, including Amazon and Sony. According to Digital Book Readers, introducing e-ink technology into home use, school curriculum, library facilities, and business use provides a win-win scenario with benefits to be had at all angles.
The biggest drawback of computer display is that it is not remotely as readable as paper; it’s too bright and can strain your eyes. This is the reason why people still prefer printed paper. On the other hand, electronic paper looks exactly like paper. The technology will drastically change the way people will be reading books. You can have small handheld readers with hundreds and thousands of books, readable as exactly as a normal printed book.
Tomorrow’s books will never be damaged. Once the readers become universal, traditional printing will be history. You can download the books you purchase directly to your reader, and that can fetch you huge savings in time and money. The delivery of newspaper and magazines will also be in a new way-electronically.
The electronic ink is not just printable on plastic panels, but it can be printed on normal walls, your tee shirts, tablecloth, and pretty much any surface. Thus, in the future you can change your wallpaper at the click of a button.ConclusionThe most important advantage of electronic paper technology is that paper will no longer be needed, and trees needn’t be cut for paper production. Thus, electronic paper will lead us closer to a better, greener world.

Continue Reading Bandar Judi Bola Why Events and Classes Can Help You Really Grow Your Business The other day there was a class on e-newsletters taught by Bob and Judy Dunn from Catseye Marketing. I went to the class and found it insightful for helping me work on one of my latest projects: my own newsletter. After I left the class, I thought about how it was likely that the presenters would get some business from the class. It might not be direct clients from the participants of the class…it could be referrals from the attendees, but regardless these presenters would likely get some business from simply presenting a class.
I went to the class because I didn’t know a lot about e-newsletters. I’ve just created one and I wanted to know what else I could do with it, beyond the obvious. And I did get a lot of information from that class, which I’m starting to implement in my newsletter. All of that information showed me why newsletters were beneficial to my business and how they could be used to grow my business.
There are two ways events and classes can grow your business and I’ve already hinted at them above, but I’ll speak directly to them now.
First, being a speaker/presenter can be an excellent way to grow your business. Not only does it allow you to demonstrate your credibility and authority, but it can also lead to direct business, especially if you pass out an evaluation form, which allows people to provide feedback and indicate if they want particular services or other information. Remember to follow-up with people promptly, so that they know you are as interested in them as they are in you.
Second, attending classes can be an excellent way to learn new ideas and techniques for improving your business. No matter how much you might think you know, there’s always more to learn. And what you learn can sometimes bring you some business because it helps you change something in your business formula, which is otherwise holding you back. I have definitely found attending classes useful because it gives me opportunities to learn not only from the presenter, but also my fellow attendees.
It’s not hard to become a presenter and it’s definitely not hard to attend a class. Both approaches can help you generate business, and also let you learn more about yourself and your business.

Continue Reading Judi Bola Never Stop Looking For What’s “Over the Rainbow” – Personal Transformation Story I could not believe my eyes last night when I looked into the stormy sky and saw a double rainbow (yes this picture was taken right in my backyard)! At the end of a VERY trying day, I was not a happy camper. Nothing at all had been going my way….on many levels it was one of the worst! But the minute I laid eyes on this beautiful gift of nature, my whole mood shifted. Judy Garland started playing in my head and I got one big “kick in the butt” from the universe!
I was reminded of the power of dreams. Not the dreams that you travel while asleep but the ones you have for your life. Do you still have dreams for your life or have you stopped believing dreams sometimes do come true? Have you stopped believing there can be something good waiting for you “over the rainbow”?
We all stop believing at one point or another. For some, it doesn’t take much to be pushed into the black hole of despair. For others, it takes more than any human should have to bear. Whatever it takes to get you there is irrelevant. It’s what you do when you get there that counts! Have you entered the black hole of despair?
As I said in my last post “How to Stay Positive…” your attitude is everything. You can’t control so many things that may be happening to you but you CAN control your attitude. You will be surprised how a small shift, just for even one minute, can get you back on track. If you don’t get back on the track, you will never finish the race!
So what did I do today to ward off the darkness? I looked around at what is good. You will be surprised what you see if you open your eyes…like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, it’s probably no further than your own backyard.

Continue Reading Judi Bola What You Need to Know About New Zealand Marlborough Wine The Pioneers of wine production in New Zealand were Neal and Judy Ibbotson who were also the first people to venture out and plant vineyards in Marlborough. It was in 1978 that these people first began to realize and take advantage of the unique growing conditions that New Zealand had to offer. They later established the Saint Clair Estate in 1994. Today it’s the Saint Clair estate that owns more than one hundred acres of land in Marlborough with vineyards located in four different locations. The reason these are in different locations was because they wanted to take advantage of the varying soil, air and other growing conditions. This means that they will be able to get their hands on high quality grapes from all parts of New Zealand. It was this very effort that earned them many medals as well as their entry into the first wine competition.
What makes Marlborough wine so different from all the other wines in the world? Well one thing that sets this Marlborough wine apart from all the others is the premium quality grapes it’s prepared with. These grapes are grown in what many people believe are New Zealand’s best vineyards. Matt Thomson is one of the biggest names in Marlborough and also in the wine industry he is famous for producing wine which is unmatched in class and quality. As a wine marker in Marlborough you need to learn just how to use the unique features of the land, climate and fruit to your advantage.
Marlborough is greatly famous for the Saint Clair expertise in wine making as well as the many medals and acclaims they have won in a just a few years. The Trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc was won in 2004 during the Decanter Word Wine Awards. Wine makers who are based in Marlborough have always had this thing about being consistent when it came to winning awards for great tasting wine. This is probably one reason why Marlborough is such as established name in he wine industry. The Saint Clair brand also won 2005’s international wine and spirit competition and received a Trophy for their efforts. They also won the accolade of best wine makers of the year 2005. They also won the regional trophy for best red wine in New Zealand. These are just a few out of the many awards that these people can boast about.
The techniques that these people use to make wine greatly varies from one wine maker to another. Even within the same company they might be various style of making the same kind of wine. This adds variety to the wine making process as well as to the taste. However one thing is for certain and that is in order to produce high quality wine you need to use premium quality grapes. The better the grapes the better your wine will taste. This is why many wine makers are also vineyard owners and vice versa.
